BRICK:

Went out 20+ miles on the bike today.  Pushing good through a headwind.
Flat roads though.  Endurance improving I can tell.  Speed still under what I'd like
to see but early in season. I have 2+ months to first race of season.

Followed this with 3 mile out and back run on hilly terrain.  Muscles starting to
remember the bike-run transition.  Just takes a few weeks to get back in
grove there.

I'm trying something new with my bricks this year.  I'll alternate long bike-shorter
runs and shorter bike-longer run bricks.  I'm hoping this will keep my legs fresher
through the races.  Anyone tried this before?  Any other pearls of wisdom out there?

Boy is this fun!  I love this time of year!

Are you training for a half ironman? Looks like you had two good days of training. Nice job.

I have not tried too many brick workouts. I have mostly done one workout a day, until resently when I have put two moderate workouts in. You ironmen have to do it all to get your volume in. I did a brick last week like you did today and I did not have enough fuel and bonked. . . . lesson learned.

Way to go Wild Bill! I'm planning my first BRICK workout of the season. Any advice for the long haul. I'll be starting at 9pm, on Saturday. I'll give you the Three Hour Tour. Would like a seasoned BRICK trainers point of view.
